THE BALANCE-SHEETS. (j'.Y TELEUBAI'H—I'IIKSS ASSOCIATION). WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Premier laid on the table of the House this afternoon the balance-sheet of the Bank of New Zealand for the year euded March 31st, IS9fc>. It shows that after paying and providing for all iu« terest and bad and doubtful debts, and after reducing the Bank of New Zealand Estates Company's debenture conversion, account by £10,132 !)s sd, there is a profit for the year of £1)4,-100 0a hi, which, added to last year's balance of £37,371 2s lid, makes a total to the credit of the profit and loss account of £131,791 3?. Out of this a dividend of £17,000 waa paid. The balance-sheet of the Assets Realisation Board was hud on the table of the House this afternoon. It shows a net profit on stations of £43,296 5s 8d and on freehold and other properties of £6,659 6s 2d.
