On the third day of the Goodwood meeting the following was the result of the Goodwood Cup, a sweepstakes with £lOOO added; second £2OO, third £100; special weights, with penalties and allowances; about 2 miles 5 furlongs-:— Sir Abe Bailey’s Cecil, 1; Marshal Piel’s Enfield, 2; Lord Stanley’s Quashed, ,3. Nine started. Won by one and a half lengths; two lengths betweeu second and third.
