BALL AT KOPUARANGA.
SECOND ANNUAL GATHERING. With an even greater attendance than at the first annual event, the second settlers.’ ball held a Kopuaranga on Wednesday night proved a definite success. The hall decorations consisted of lemon, mauve and pink streamers, while the supper room, was transformed with matipo and fern and with table decorations of gold and white. Mrs 8. J. Clarke and Mr. E. J. Wright again directed the working committee and ensured complete arrangements, while Messrs L. Donald, B. Hurley and J. Wright kept the dancing going. Th 6 music was provided by Te Tau ’» orchestra, and Mr. J, West played extras. Visitors were present from Wanganui, Wellington and Masterton, and the district was well represented. Balloon, snowball and confetti novelties added to the fun of the evening. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss C. Palmer and partner.
