SOUTH WAIRARAPA ITEMS. MARTINBOROUGH. (“The Age” Special.) The Rev. F. O. Ball and Mrs. Ball arrived from Wellington on Tuesday and took up- their residence at the Vicarage. The St. Andrew’s Bridge Club held a successful afternoon party in the Parish Hall on July 25. Prizes were won by Mrs. Arthur and Miss McAlluni. On Tuesday evening the St. Andrew’s Bridge Club presented Miss C. Evans, who is shortly to be married, with a casserole dish and wished her all future happiness. The hostesses for the evening were Mesdames Arthur jind Stunnell. Mrs. McKenzie, Palmerston North, has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. E. C. Holmes. Miss Pain, Palmerston North, recently spent a few days with her sister, Mrs. F. McLeod. Miss d’Emden, of Tiri Hospital, has returned from a short visit to Wellington. Miss Mary Robinson has been spending a few days in Wellington.
