ENJOYABLE EVENING.
BILLIARDS AND CARD TOURNEYS Billiard and card tournaments were held at the Fire Brigade Station on Monday night between teams representing the Fire Brigade and employees of C. E. Daniell Ltd. The teams were as follows:—C. E. Daniell Ltd.: F. Allen (captain), J. Pounceby, A. Sturgeon, G. Wainscott, P. Thompson. Fire Brigade: Stationmaster H. G. Hume (captain), Firemen C. Hausman, H. Flaws, D. Parker, R. Clarke. The brigade won on the aggregate by 500 points to 235 points. In the cards tournament C. E. Daniell Ltd. employees won by one game. A most enjoyable evening was sp-ent and further contests are being looked forward to with pleasure. A much-ap-preciated supper was provided by the Fire Brigade members. \
