STANDARDISATION & CONTROL URGED. CONFERENCE OF GROWERS. WELLINGTON, July 28. Compulsory standardisation and control of distribution in the local marketmg of fruit was advocated by the majority of speakers at the Dominion Conference of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers' Federation to-day. After a protracted discussion a resolution was earned favouring this course in any plan for the reorganisation of the fruit industry « the Dominion. The takin< of a vote on the question of fixing a minimum pnee was deferred until tomorrow.—(P.A.)'
