METHODIST CHURCH.

COMMUNION TA£LE & QHAIBB DEDICATED. At the Methodist Church yesterday morning at a service conducted by the Rev. G. F. Stockwell, a CommunionTable and two chairs presented by Miss Mary Donald in- memory of her father and mother (Mr. and Mrs. David Donald) were dedicated. Speaking on the text " Seeing that we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us run. with patience the race set before us, looking unto Jesus,” Mr. Stockwell said the- Masterton church had been very fortunate in the type of pioneer worker, who in the early days of settlement had stood for the things that mattered most, and had contributed 1 in many ways to the building of the Kingdom of God. Amongst such no names were held in greater honour than those of David and Helen DonaTcT. Their Eves had been ennobled by the grace of God, and their influence in the church and the community had been a wonderful factor for good. Both were pioneer members of the local church, and their Christian character was an inspiring example for the younger portion of the congregation to emulate. The junior choir sang the anthem "Will Yon Meet me in the Morning.” A large number of the congregation remained at the close and took part in an impressive Communion service. At the evening service Miss Evelyn Jones sang the solo 4 4 Consider and Hear Me.”
