YOUNG FARMERS’ WEEK.

THE' ORGANISER’S THANKS. (To the Editor.) —I should be grateful if yon would afford me space to express thanks, on behalf of the Wairarapa Young Farmers’ Clubs, to all thosetrito contributed to the success of the recent Young Farmers’’Week at the Solway Showground's. Without naming individuals, I particularly desire to thank the townspeople for their assistance, and also those from town and country who so kindly placed tlieir cars at the committee’s disposal. I also desire to take this opportunity of thanking you for the publicity given, through your paper, 'to the Young Termers’ Week and to the Young Farmers’ Club movement generally. I am, etc.,

S. FREEMAN. Hon. Secretary Wairarapa Provincial Council of Young Farmers’ Clubs. ASSISTANCE APPRECIATED. (To the Editor.) Sir, —Could I trespass on your valuable space to express on behalf of we parents of the boys who attended the Young Farmers’ Club camp recently held at Solway, our heartiest thanks for the splendidly generous treatment received by the boys, from the business men of Masterton, also the ladies and those who helped to entertain. I can assure you, Sir, that from opinions expressed to me, that that treatment will long remain a pleasant memory to all those who were fortunate to experience it, and should settle once and for all the idea (if it really ever existed) that the townsmen were antagonistic towards the farmers, as the business men showed by their actions that they have nothing but goodwill to offer. A good number of the boys case from outside districts and they will carry away a great impression which certainly will give Masterton a great name. The Young Fanners’ Club is certainly a most valuable movement, and the members are getting chances of learning which must be of great benefit to them as they go along, both from an educational tad also social point. I am sure much more could be said on the subject, but I am merely trying to express the feelings of all, who had sons attending that camp, and I can assure you, Sir, that the unanimous thought is: Thanks to all who gave so willingly to make that camp the great success it undoubtedly was.—l am, etc., F. J. MILLER. Mount Bruce, June 17, 1936.
