BURGLARY CHARGES.
SENTENCES ON FOUR MAORIS. AUCKLAND, May 25. Two Maoris, Richard de Thierry and Joe Herbert, alias Adam, who admitted in the Police Court at Rawene a burglary and theft of drapery valued at £3O, also having set fire to a building, were sentenced by Mr. Justice Fair to four years’ imprisonment. Percy de Thierry, a younger brother, and Colin Tahare admitted burglary of a schoolhouse. The former was sent to Borstal for two years, and Tahare was granted probation for two years. -,(P.A.)
