MOTOR SMASH.
JACKIE COOGAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. SAN DIEGO, May 5. Jackie Coogan, the famous juvenile motion, picture star, is recovering from serious injuries received in a motor accident, reported yesterday, in which his father, Mr. John Coogan, aged 49, Junior Durkin, aged 19, a “film player, and two companions, were killed. The five were travelling at a high speed in a light roadster and were forced off the road. The younger Coogan apparently saved his life by jumping quickly. He suffered two broken ribs and other injuries.
