INTER-COLLEGE CRICKET.

WAIRARAPA V. WELLINGTON. PARSONSON BOWLS WELL. The annual cricket match between the Wairarapa High School and Wellington College opened on the High School grounds yesterday afternoon. Batting first Wairarapa started well, the score reaching three wickets for 151 but thereafter wickets fell in rapid succession, the innings closing for a total of 184. Mexted 48 and Blatter 63, who were both run out, accounted for the greater part of the total, the opening batsmen, McWhinnie and Donald contributing 21 and 18 respectively. Young and Bush took the wickets between them, Young securing five for 50 runs and Bush 3 for 54.

The visitors, at the drawing of stumps for the day, had made 34 for the loss of four wickets. Parsonson, bowling for Wairarapa, distinguished himself by taking all four wiekets for 13 runs.
