BOY ENTERTAINERS.
COMING VISIT TO MASTEHTON. COMMITTEE SET UP. Arrangements concerning the visit to Masterton on January 4 of the Young Australia League Boy Entertainers were discussed at a meeting held last evening. Councillor W. White presided, the Mayor, Mr. T. Jordan sending an apology for absence. The Mayor, Mesdamcs M. Mackay and Welch and Messrs R. J. Young, M. G. Mackay, H. M. Peacock, W. A. Clarke, J. Jameson, 6. L P. Free, E. M. Hodder, F. Wells, H. L. Pearce, W. White, J. Cocker and A. E. Bate were appointed a committee, with Mr. Bate as secretary. On behalf of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary Mcsdames Mackay and Welch undertook to provide afternoon tea for the boys on their arrival on January 4. It was decided that a meeting of the committee be held on Thursday at 5 p.m., at which the allocation of the proceeds of the entertainment will be decided upon. It was pointed out that it would be pecessary to billet the boys, who number 38, on the night of January 4 and homes would be sought for that purpose. Anyone able to assist is asked to communicate with the Y.M.C.A.
