MORE SHAKES.
WESTPORT STILL DISTURBED. WATER SUPPLY RESTORED. WESTPORT, August 8. Still they come. The Westport got another good shake at 9.22 o’clock tonight, although the shake at 12.10 a.m. yesterday was a heavy sustained one. It is surprising how many people slept right through it. Evidently the ’quakes have lost their terrors, even though they come in the night-time. Westport’s fourteen inch water main, which was crunched and torn badly by the big earthquake on June 17 has been completely restored.—(P.A.)
