BOROUGH’S VOTE OF £lOO COMMITTEE MEETING The monthly meeting of the general eonanittee of the Masterton branch o’’ > the Plunket Society was held yester- „ day. There were present, Mesdames W. Hodgins and J. 1 Cocker. 1 A letter was received from the ‘ Town Clerk advising that the borough 1 council had voted a sum of £lOO to the ’ society. The secretary was instructed to write and convey the grateful , thanks of the society to the council for • its generous donation. It was decided to obtain a model cot for use in the Plunket Rooms, to be , obtained, if possible, at the Jubilee Institute for the Blind, Auckland. i Gifts of clothing were acknowledged i from Mts Dixon and Mrs C. H. Wilson and bootees from Mrs Myer Caselberg. ( A letter of thanks is to be sent to . Mrs H. H. Beetham for the loan of a „ ear to convey members of the commit ; tee to Tirnri last week. It was decided to have the paths ’ around the Plunket building concreted. Accounts totalling £65 9s 7d were passed.
