WAIRARAPA EMPLOYERS.
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. EASTER HOLIDAY DATES. Mr. J. H. Handyside presided over a meeting of the executive of the Wairarapa Employers’ Association held on Thursday. A good deal of eorrespond'ence was dealt with. The question of a “Community Chest” was also discussed, members complaining of the increased number of calls being made on them for donations. It was decided to invite all those interested to attend a meeting which will shortly be called for the purpose of going into the question. It was also resolved to invite all interested to elose their shops on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday, and to observe the late night on the Thursday before Good Friday. Some shops, under their awards, will not be able to do this. Nine new members from Eketahuna and Pahiatua were elected.
