THE TRAINING FARM.
TOMORROW NIGHT’S MEETING'. The utilisation of the Soldiers’ Training Farm at Penrose as an establishment at which New Zealand lads may be educated for fanning industry—a project to be discussed at a public meeting which is to be addressed by the Hon. E. Newman, M.L.C., and others to-morrow evening—commends itself the more readily since the Training Farm, besides being in other respects well suited to the purpose, is already well provided with buildings. These include a large structure containing seventeen bedrooms, together with spacious billiard and dining rooms, another building containing nine small bedrooms, two dwellings in a fairly good state of repair, up-to-date milking sheds equipped with machines and provided with concrete yards and cart sheds, a granary, a twelve-stall stable, motor sheds, office and other buildings.
