McDonald defeats turner AT BLENHEIM DECISION MEETS WITH MIXED RECEPTION BLENHEIM, August 13. McDonald, 10.11 (Paitfierston North)defeated Len Turner, 11.2 (Rai Valley, the Wellington Centre middle-light-heavy champion) to-night in a special bout at the Marlborough Association’s amateur tourney, in a furious encounter, which was marred a good deal by holding in the early rsunds. The winner proved a clever boxer, showing superior ringcraft and refused to make the contest open, which would have suited the Marlborough contestant. The judges disagreed after four rounds.
