AFFECTS EKETAHUNA’S TRADE COMMERCIAL MAN’S VTEW. Speaking at a meeting of the Eketa-' Buna Ch® her of Commerce a. commercial man stated that it had been found that the Saturday half-holiday was disastrous to the town and this was recognised by the Minister who stated .that other small towns who had made a similar change had experienced the Same result. Pahiatua on the other hand bad materially increased its SatBrday trade, and the business people there had felt the difference. This might be due to Eketahuna, or to other Conditions, but it remained that in Eketahuna the trade was worse.
