A RISE IN PRICES. MELBOURNE, Jan. s.—At tlie wool sales prices were good, with general competition, compared with tho closing rates of last year. Super-merinos were 5 per cent higher with average and top-making sorts in sellers’ favour. Come-backs and f rossbreds showed par to 5 per cent increase for the best. Others at par.—(P.A.)
