INFANTILE PARALYSIS.

POSITION YESTERDAY. MASTERTON STILL FREE. No new cases of infantile paralysis were reported in Masterton yesterday. In the Auckland Health' District 3 cases were notified’ during the weekend. Of 176 cases to February.2B there were 108 with actual paralysis. It is believed that 52 have reasqnable prospects of recovery. Altogether, -56 cases are liable to have permanent effects. Death resulted in 39 cases. The first ease to occur l in the Te Awamutu district was reported yesterday. The patient is under two years old. There were 16 fresh notifications in the Dominion to 9 a.m. yesterday.
