A TRANSVAAL ULTIMATUM'. TO SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT.
CAPE TOWN, Mar. 15.—An interesting situation was created by the Transvaal Provincial Council passing a want of confidence resolution in Administrator Hoffmeyer. Ho refused to resign, whereupon all Transvaal members of t'he Ministry, and .of the South African Pact signed a declaration concurring in the no-confidence vote. This will be presented to the Prime Minister, as the Provincial Council vote is avowedly A party vote. Xi.': Much public interest centres in what General Hertzog will say to what is tantamount to an ultimatum, from his Transvaal supporters.—(A. and N.Z.) ...
