DUNDEE BYE-ELECTION. HUGE MAJORITY. (Recd. Tuesday, 8.40 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 22.—The first byeeleetion in Dundee, owing to the death of Mr Morel, resulted: Johnson (Lab.) 22,973, Simon (Lib.) 10,234.—(Reuter.) The election was notable for the small poll, 45,720 electors not voting. The Conservative prospective candidate withdrew in order to allow the claims .that' the election issue was solely socialism versus capitalism.— (' ' Argus.”)
