We offered a fairly good entry of sheep, there being a good enquiry for hoggets at late rates, but ewes in lamb were not at keenly sought after as anticipated, although they made fair values. We report.-— 197 4 and 5 yr ewes r.w. Rom, rams 23/6; 101 do 22/; 48 empty ewes 18/; 8 wethers 24/9; 237 wether hoggets 20/10; 84 ewe do 20/2; 124 shorn b..f do 20/; 10 Romney rams 11/. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that a small yarding of sheep came forward. The sale throughout'was dull, and lines of store ewes did not reach vendors’ values. Fat ewes 24/2.
