Wanganui, Mar. 24.—The election of n Mayor to fill the vacancy caused by the retirement of Mr T. B. William.', was held to-day and resulted: Hope Gibbons 3055; J. C. Richardson. 454. M r Richardson was deputy Mayor for some months.—(P.A.)
