FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT
YOUNG GIRL KILLED. (By Telegraph—Press Afsoeiation) WELLINGTON, .Last ..Night. A fatal motor accident occurred in Cuba Street this afternoon. As • far as can be gathered, an Army Service Corps motor lorry was proceeding down he street, when a littlo girl, aged thirteen, whoso father is Mr. JL W. Lawton", of the Agricultural Department staff, stepped off the footpath ":o cross the road. She had almost passed in front of the lorry, was travelling at about four to five miles an hour, when she stepped back, xnd was knocked down and killed by a wheel passing over her body.
