<m - OTAGO RUGBY UNION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDLN, Last Night, At a meeting of the Otago Rugby Union to-night, Mr H. White expressed' the opinion that it was not the [time to send a team away on tour merely for the sake of keeping engagements with northern provinces. He moved that the northern tour be cancelled, but Itlio general opinion was that tho matter had gone too far to take that course, and the nonplay/.ng of the interprovincial fixtures would not improve the position. The motion was lost. The following is the team chosen for the northern tour:—Backs, Watson, Whittaker, Marks, Fortune, Denham, Haima. Dryden, Andrews, F. Williams; forwards, P. Williams (captain) Duncan, Mowatt, Kennelly, Patterson Davidson, Irvine, Atkinson, Graham. Brown, Douglas.
