Our Own Correspondent. The Wairarapa South County Council on Saturday voted £IOO towards the War Fund to be placed at the disposal of the New Zealand Government to be used as desired. The Carterton Oddfellows Miniature Rifle Club will fire a match against a Masterton team at Carterton this evening. At a meeting of the Wairarapa South County Council on Saturday it was decided to employ a man and horse and dray to keep the main road in repair. It was resolved to have the Ruamahanga Bridge sheathed with fine metal and clay binding and rolled the same as is done on bridges in the South Island. It was also 10solved to erect a bridge on Victor 1 ?!. Koad. Tho ranger reported having impounded 41 Horses, cattle, and ;ii<>;s dtptig the month. Messrs A. and J. Gray were guaranteed permission to put in a culvert on Hughes Road, near their property.
