Mr Thomas Parsons, of Eketahuna. who is chairman of directors of the N.Z. Farmers' - Dairy Union. has been appointed by the Palmorston North Chamber of Commerce as one of the business experts to give, evidence on butter and cheese before the Imperial Tra-de Com mission. Mr Cecil Kebboll, of Te Hoe, Allredton, has booked passages for himself, wife and family, by the Ruahine, ,for the Old Country, which leaves in April next. Mr Kebboll expoets to be away for two or three; years, as it is his intention to give his children the benefit of a public; school education in England.

At the Roman Catholic Church, Eketahuna. yesterday morning, Miss Mary A. Standl'ord Davies, oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Davies, of Alfredton, was married to Mr Engine Preen, of Napier. The ceremony which was witnessed by a large number of friends, was performed by the Rev Dean McKenna, of Masterton. The bride, who was attired in a becoming grey costume, was given away by her sister. Miss Nellie Davies, as bridesmaid, who wore a -pretty cream serge costume. Mr F. Timmins, of Onga Onga, acted as best man.
