GABRIELS.
The annual meeting of the Gabriels Licensing Committee was held in the schoolhouse, Blue Spur, on Saturday last. Present: Messrs J. Michael (Chairman) E. Varcoe, G. Ralston, D. Murray, and J M'Hattie. The following applications for the renewal of publicans' licenses were granted : —Blue Spur Hotel (D. Beaton); Thistle Hotel, Evans Flat (Jas. Hopkins) ; Golden Age Hotel, Wetherstones (R. G. Fulton) : Union Hotel, "Wetherstones (T. Pope) • Chinese Empire Hotel, Tuapeka Flat (Sam Chew Lain.) ■W.Buchanan's application for a publicans license for the Provincial Hotel, Evans Flat, transferred from A. Clark, was also granted.
