CLARKS FLAT SCHOOL.
The annual examination and distribution of prizes at the Clarks Flat School took place on Thursday, the 21st instant. After the school work had been inspected by the members of the Committee, the Chairman, Mr. Chalmers, having addressed a few suitable words to the pupils on the duty of making the best of their opportunities, presented the prizes. The following are the names of the pupils who gained first prizes in their respective classes :— sth class, Donald Eraser ; 4th class, Catherine Fraser ; 3rd, William Eowe ; 2nd, Jessie Stephens ; Ist, William Morrison. The number of scholars - -who attended was 22.
