NEW BRIGHTON DANCE.

Athletic Club T rophies Presented. The annual dance and presentation of of the Xew Brighton Ai*steur Athletic Club was held in the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening when there was a large attendance. Twelve kindred clubs were represented. The organising committee consisted of Messrs J. G. Hay. L. C. Richards, A. Thomas, r! Russell, A. G. Donohue, A. C. Bovd Misses E. Hay and E. Thomas, and Mesdames A. Thomas and G. Austin. The following trophies were presented bv the president (Mr A. Hughes), who referred to the club’s, successful vear and his pleasure at the large number of clubs represented at the dance:—Sprint p up. H. Kempthorne; distance cup. G. field events. N. Waghorn: youths' Kennett Cup, H. Cook: women’s cup, Miss E. Thomas: men’s aggregate, N. Waghorn: Cook Cup, R. Marriott: schoolboys’ cup. C. Lambert; boys under twelve, G. Bolton. Music for the dancing was supplied by Cowlin’s orchestra and Mr J. G. Hay was M.C. Among those present were: Mesdames Todd. Harold Kirby, IT. N. Gasson, Donohue: Misses E. Stevens, M. Turner. E.
