CAR CATCHES FIRE.
Flames coming from under the bonnet of a five-seater touring car caused some excitement in High Street at 7.10 p.m. yesterday. An alarm was given and three fire engines, with a ladder extension, turned out smartly, but by then the flames had been smothered with some sacks. The fire was caused by a fault in the ignition system.
