RUGBY REFEREES.
A meeting: of the Canterbury Rugby Referees* Association was held last night, when Mr H. Macintosh presided over an attendance of about forty members. The New Zealand Rugby Referees Association forwarded a number of recent rulings, which were discussed and adopted. At the finish of the ordinary business an interesting lecturette on injuries to players and their treatment was delivered by the vice-president of the asso- « rtfon. Dr D. McK. Dickson. A vote of thanks was accorded the speaker. To-morrow evening, at seven o'clock, the Referees’ Association will meet the Rugby Union in a bowling match at the Indoor Rinks. Tuam Street. The players are: Spooner, Hoskins, Newton iina Finale: Macintosh, Morgan, Empson and Spearman: Perrin. Collins, Crawford and Mcfiarhlan; Kotlowski, Douglas. Marten and Hay.
