PLUNKET SOCIETY.

Mrs A. Morten presided over the monthly meeting; of the Sumner-Red- «• Jiffs branch of the Plunket Society. The treasurer reported that as a result of the fancy dress dance recently held the funds had benefited by £5 15s 6d. Tt was decided to hold a cake stall in the vestibule of the Sumner Town Hall on Saturday, March 2, from 0.30 a.m. Mrs Morten’s offer to lend her home for a dance in the near future was accepted with thanks. Mrs Norman Smith was elected to the committee. The meeting: decided that Mrs T. Newburgh should act as secretary in the place of Mrs W. J. Sim.
