The Swimming Centre.
Dear Sir. —Would you kindly allow me a little space in your valuable paper to ask if there are any officials on the canterbury Swimming Centre; if so, where were they on Tuesday night w-hen our Canterbury representatives left for Auckland, to take part in the New Zealand championships? Not one official of the centre was on the station to see our boys off or bid them “ good luck.” Now are the CantcW bury Swimming Centre officials really acting for the good of swimming?—l am, etc. SWIMMER A swimming centre official stated this morning that only two official Canterbury representatives and the manager of the team left Christchurch on Tuesday evening. These had been seen and farewelled by the centre officials during the day.—Ed., "Star.'
