“Tote” Systems.
Dear Sir,—l would like to put your correspondent, " Follow Up, right in regard to the win-and-place betting system. He speaks about having to bet twice; that means if some dub tried out four totalisa-tors—straight-out, place, 7.5-25 and 70-20-10 times. .. . Clubs that provide two to ta lisa tors give the bettor a choice of betting, for fun or to make money. Could you tell me why the L.J.C. can operate the win-and-place totalisator successfullv? Has Addington given itta fair go? I am, etc., BETTOR.
