ROYAL TRAIN.
Preparations for South Island Tour. TRIAL RUN ON SATURDAY. The train, consisting of eleven vehicles, which is being prepared for the South Island tour of the Duke of Gloucester, has been practically completed at the Addington Railway Workshops, and will be ready for a trial run on Saturday. It i§ proposed to run the train to Ashburton and back, leaving Christchurch about 8.40 a.m. The train for the South Island tour will be made up as follows:—The Royal car, a Royal dining car, kitchen car, dining car, special sleeping car, day car, staff car, staff sleeping car. tourist car, General Manager’s car and guard's
