SCHOOL PICNICS.
Railway Excursions Planned. The full time of one member of the train-running staff at the Railway District Offices is occupied at present with arrangements for school picnics during the next few weeks. Many excursions have also been arranged, and the trainrunning staff will be kept busy with them until the New Year. Excursions to be held between to-morrow and the New Year are as follow: Wednesday: Rangiora School, to Lyttelton; Thursday: Little River School, to Corsair Bay; Tinwald School, to Timaru; Temuka Convent, to Timaru; Somerfield School, to Lyttelton; Friday: Lauriston, Rotherham, WAiau, Ohoka, Culverden, West Eyreton Schools, to Christchurch; Hawarden School, to Lyttelton; Saturday; Hinds School, to Timaru; Rangiora Presbyterian Sunday School, to Riccarton; December 17: Phillipstown School, to Little River; December 18: Cathedral choir, to Lyttelton; December 26: Christchurch Working Men’s Club, to Riccarton; Postmen’s Social Club, to Rangiora; December 29: Whitcliffs School, to Christchurch.
