FLOTSAM AND JETSAM.
Spanish Labour Appeal and 8.8. C. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 8. While Malcolm M’Eachern and his partner were broadcasting a “ Flotsam and Jetsam ” turn a voice was heard shouting something that sounded like “ What about the Spanish workers?” The programme immediately faded out. When the broadcast was resumed “Flotsam and Jetsam” were singing another song. It appears that the broadcasting was arranged before an audience. A man rose and shouted “Solidarity for the Spanish workers. Send a foodship to Spain. Build a united front against Fascism and war.” The man immediately departed. He gave his name to the police, who intervened, outside.
