Miss Wilgar Wade. Gloucester Street West, and Miss Maisie Williams. Otira, left Christchurch to-day on a visit to the West Coast Glaciers.

Canon and Mrs Stephen Parr. College House, will leave Christchurch at the end of the week to spend Christmas at their house at Governor’s Bay.

Miss Lorna Broadway, Bristol Street, will leave Christchurch in March for England, where her marriage to Mr F. W. K. Humphreys will take place. Mrs G. F. Tobin, Invercargill, and her small daughter, returned to Invercargill on Saturday from a holiday in Christchurch and Timaru.

Mr and Mrs P. W. Gresson, Invercargill, have returned south from a holiday spent in Timaru and Christchurch.

Miss Rauma List, New Plymouth, who is the guest of Mrs Stephen Parr, College House, will return north on Thursday evening, and will spend a few days in Wellington on her way home. Miss Joan Broadway, The Lodge, Hereford Street, will leave on Wednesday, December 19, en route for Sydney, where she will join her mother and sisters.

Miss Agnes Hay, Christchurch, returned from a visit to Mrs James Grant, Gray’s Hills, Mackenzie Country, on Saturday. Mrs Grant spent the week-end with Mrs A. Grant, Aigantighe, Wai-iti Road, Timaru. Miss Jessie Dickson, Bealey Street, who has been spending a holiday in Wellington and Palmerston North, will return to Christchurch to-morrow morning, accompanied by her brother, Mr Hamilton Dickson. Mr and Mrs A. Edmonds, Christchurch, sailed from Auckland on Saturday by the lonic, en route for London, where they will visit their son and their daughter, Miss Iris Edmonds, who has been appearing successfully on the London stage.

Miss Dorothy Parr, Western Australia, is visiting friends at Lyttelton. Miss Lettice Loughnan, Cashel Street, West, will leave on Monday next on a holiday visit to her parents at Otane. Mr and Mrs Neill Rattray. Waimate, will leave New Zealand by the Akaroa early in February, en route to England. Major and Mrs R. S. Hunter Blair, “ Elmwood,” Heaton Street, will leave in Marcji for a visit to England. Miss Marion Hay, Wai-iti Road. Timaru, is spending a few days with Miss Marjorie Mackellar, Christchurch. Miss Gwen Hoddinott. Dunedin, who has been staying in Wellington, arrived in Christchurch yesterday morning and left to-day for her home.

Mrs E. A. Wilson. England, who is at present staying with Mrs John Studholme, Middleton Grange, Riccarton. will go to-morrow to be the guest of Lady Wigram, Park Terrace. Mrs J. Morris, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs John Anderson. “ Inveresk,” Armagh Street, West, will leave early in January on her return to England.

Mrs Douglas Macfarlane, Rofa Downs, North Canterbury, returned home on Saturday from a visit to her parents, Canon and Mrs W. S. Bean, Beverley Street.

Mrs J. Dampier-Crossley and Miss Shona Dampier-Crossley, Parnassus, returned home yesterday from a visit to Mrs S. H. Macfarlane, Weka Street, Fendalton.

Mr and Mrs Wrey Nolan, Gisborne, will spend Christmas in Christchurch, and will stay at Warwick House. Mrs Nolan’s daughter, Miss Pamela Price, will be the guest of Mrs H. S. Lawrence, Garden Road.

Lady Ware, who with her husband, Sir Fabian Ware, will arrive in Christchurch on Thursday, will stay with Mrs G. Hampton Rhodes, “ Oakford,” Riccarton. Lady Ware is a member of the hospitality committee of the Victoria League in England. The Prime Minister, the Rt Hon G. W. Forbes and Mrs Forbes, arrived in Christchurch from Wellington yesterday morning. They will arrive in Invercargill to-day to attend the Royal Show, and will stay with Sir Robert and Lady Anderson, Victoria Park. Mrs Deans, Riccarton House, will leave next week to visit her son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs John Deans, Kirkstyle, for Christmas. Miss Cumbrae-Stewart, Melbourne, who is at present the guest of Mrs Deans, will leave on Saturday to stay with Mrs Kenneth Murchison, “ Glenthorne,” Lake Coleridge.
