TWELVE O’CLOCK PARTY.
Mrs J. Trewin (Oaro) and Mrs Basil Whitcombe were joint hostesses at an enjoyable 12 o’clock party, given at Warner’s Hotel on Saturday morning, in honour of Miss Gendie Maling. Miss Maling will leave Christchurch on Wednesday for Ceylon, where she will be married to Mr R. J. S. Bean, only brother of Mrs Trewin and Mrs Whitcombe. Beautiful Christmas lilies decorated the lounge where the pleasantly informal partv was held. The guests were:—Airs James Maling, Mrs W. S. Bean.
