The St Albans Baths were declared open by the Rev J. F. Feron before a good assembly of swimming enthusiasts and others this afternoon. The baths are an excellent acquisition to the city and should be well patronised during the summer. Swimming and diving events were the feature of the afternoon. Canon Bean opened the proceedings by taking the first plunge. Miss V. Berry gave a demonstration of the crawl and backstroke over a distance of 33 3-3yds. Mr A.
