Death of Captain Burkitt of The Elingamite.
United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 1, 2.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The death is announced of Captain Leonard John Burkitt, aged 62, who was chief mate on the steamer Elingamite, which was wrecked on the Three Kings off the New Zealand coast in 1902.
