Big Events Still to Be Decided. Centenary sports in Melbourne will reach its peak within the next four weeks, and most of the important events will have been decided by the end of the year. ' ! In January of next year, tennis, ath- ’ letics and swimming will be the chief attractions, and internationals in each of these matches will maintain interest. The important sporting events still to be decided are:— November 7-16—Victorian Bowling Association’s inter-State carnival, starting at 9.30. November B—V.R.C. Oaks Meeting. November 9—lnternational ox-Soldiers’ Golf Tourney, at Royal Melbourne; intra-Kmpire Public School sports, at M.C.G. International Golf. November 10—V.R.C. Meeting, Duke of Gloucester Cup. Victorian Homing Association’s pigeon race from WyaNovember 14—Peninsula Polo Club Tourney. November 15 to 24—International Golf Championships at Metropolitan Golf November 16 to 20—Australian XI. v.
