CROWN TENANTS.
Meeting to Encourage Additional Support. A meeting of the Crown Tenants’ Association was held in the Chamber of < ommerce this afternoon with a view to securing additional support for the association. Mr H. B. Moore was in the chair. Mr D. C. Kidd (Crown tenants’ representative on the Canterbury Land Board) explained that the association had been formed to assist tenants in distress and to encourage a better understanding between tenants and landlords. Mr C. \\ . Markham, Dominion secrelary of the association, said the association was formed to help tenants to help themselves. It was essential that a provincial executive should be formed of delegates from all over the province nvprder that members of Parliament might be informed of the collective opinion of Crown tenants with re gard to their problems.
