TARIFF ON FOOTWEAR.
Restoration of Reduction Advocated. I'er Press 'Association. WELLINGTON, July 18. A deputation from the Federated Boot Trades Industrial Association of Workers waited on the lion J. G. Coates with a request that the 5 per cent reduction in tariff on boots and shoes should be restored. The Minister promised to give consideration to the representations made.
