Americans Favoured in Davis Cup Match.
United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received July 17, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, July IG. Though, Wilmer Allison specially journeyed from America with a view to partnering G. M. Lott against Australia in the Davis Cup inter-zone final, America’s captain decided that Lott and L. R. Stoeffen should play in the doubles. Wallis Myers, in the “ Daily /Telegraph,” says that the Americans’ chances of winning the tie are brighter than those of the Australians.
