GIRLS' COMPETITION.

Request for Financial Assistance. A meeting of the Management Com1 1 V« ee the Canterbury Cricket Association was held last evening, Mr W. L King presiding. The Canterbury Girls’ Cricket Association forwarded a request for some'financial assistance. Members agreed that further inforniation us to the organisation of girls’ «ri<*et Was necessary, and it was decided to ask that a deputation should attend the next Management Committee meeting to give information as to the control and finances of the association. He favoured home and home interprovincial games every year unless there was a touring side in the Dominion.
