WORK IN ENGLAND.

New Zealand Journalists’ Success. RESPONSIBLE POSITIONS. New Zealanders who are doing well in England were mentioned yesteiday by Dr A. J. Ilarrop, a graduate of Can terbury College, who represents the University of New Zealand in Great Britain and edits the “New Zealand ( News.” Dr Ilarrop is visiting New Zealand with his wife, who was Miss A. Valentine, also a graduate of Canterbury College, and their two children. One New Zealander Dr Ilarrop mentioned was Mr Percy Crisp, well known in Christchurch and Auckland. Mr Crisp, he said, had a sub-edicoriai post on the “Daily Express” and was making a name for himself as a frequent winner of literary competitions. He and Mrs Crisp had recently paid a holiday visit to Holland. Another one-time Christchurch and Auckland journalist was Mr lan Coster, who was a feature writer on the “Sunday Despatch.” lie was married to Martha Harris, an American, who was a well-known figure in Fleet Street. They had two children and iiveci in a flat on the edge of Hampstead Heath. Miss Evelyn Isitt, daughter of Mr L. M. Isitt, of Christchurch, was a special writer in the Lond office of the “Manchester Guardian. ’ She shared a flat with her sister. Miss Isobel Wilford had achieved success on the London stage, but was now married and living in South America. Dr and Mrs Ilarrop will stay in New Zealand for about seven months. They are at present the guests of the rector of Canterbury College, Dr J. Hight.
