Questioned as to the progress of the small farm scheme, Mr Forbes said a certain amount of work was in band Ihe scheme had not been allowed to die a natural death, but there were factors working to slow up its development, such as the poor prices for dairy produce, and the question of increasing producticn. To change to sheepfarming would mean the allocation of larger areas.
